Naked short, if not already defined for you:
Selling a call/put without long stock/short stock position against which the call is written.

A short naked call exposes you to unlimited losses as stock could to go infinity and you'd have to delivery stock against the call.
A short naked put has more limited but still significant risk as stock could fall to zero, be put to you at the strike and you'd ahve no market into which to sell your recently acquired stock, acquired at the strike price
