Additional comments on component recommendations

I consider product availability in my thinking. Your argument for the Elan Vital? case for an ASUS mobo makes a lot of sense to me. ESC has that case on backorder so I suggested an InWin case. I frame many of my thoughts around ESC capabilities as I see them as the next step up from the home assembler. For those of us who prefer designing our own system/component/software load I believe firms like ESC provide us a good opportunity.

ESC is a configure and ship wholesaler. If someone is interested in tech support as provided by Gateway/DELL/Micron I would not recommend ESC Technologies. Their policy (the way I understand it) is to defer to the manufacturer for support.
