For crying out loud, England beating Holland? Dream on! England don't even have a chance against Argentinia, who are playing with rare excellence.

As for Brazil winning the Cup, forget it. I'd lay 1000-1 odds that they don't. Ronaldo is great, but without Romario they've been doomed from the very beginning.

Italy will never lose to France. They have more staying power and class than Germany ever had. USA '94 proved that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Mexico does have a chance against Germany, I admit, but I believe the best chance for a major upset in the round of sixteen is tomorrow afternoon, when Chile takes on Brazil. I hope Chile wins. I am getting sick and tired of know-nothing armchair experts picking Brazil to win the Cup. They have absolutely no chance. Holland, Italy, France, Argentina, Nigeria, Yugoslavia and Germany all are fielding much better teams. Brazil without Romario is living off their reputation, and the hype is just absurd. If Chile don't beat them I would not be surprised if Nigeria do, though that would rob the Netherlands of their chance to even the score. If Holland and Brazil meet, I predict 3-1 HOLLAND. Hypothetical of course - it's a fool's pastime to predict scores - but I believe Holland will not only win, but win convincingly.

So now it all begins. Good luck to all teams and may the best Dutch team win!!!
