It's a couple of things. (1) It's the silly season when alot of s**t rises to the top of the bowl, only to be flushed out in late January. (2) Shorts tend to be too trigger happy because they tend not to create efficient short portfolios that are properly diversified. There's just too much short interest here, and that makes it very volatile. I'm with Bipin.
