Buffet sells. Even the late Arnold Bernhard, the Founder and Editor of Value Line, would sell at some point, albeit using criteria other than support and resistance, when the fundamentals no longer looked favorable. Most investors, like traders, would prefer not to make the round trip or worse if things don't work out for their investment. We just have different basis and different time frames for making decisions, I think. A trader must trade and an investor must invest and there is a place for all of us in the market.

In his book, The Evaluation of Common Stocks, written in 1959, Mr. Bernhard stated: "Do not set charts aside as useless or nonessential. But, do recognize that they have no relevancy to the question of valuation, although they often give clues to the time when prices will readjust to value. I might mention, at this point, that charts have been known to reverse themselves with great rapidity."
