Soros has more money than he's knows what to do with. If he finds value -- that's where the money goes. How long do you think Ortec will continue to grow?

On the other hand, I believe J&J may have a more near-term interest. Soros likes to play the acquisition game as well.

I'm glad I got out of CRGN a while ago. Money managers are flying out of highly speculative biotech stocks. Even though Curagen has a book value of about $5.8/share, I wouldn't be surprised to see the price drop below that. Soros bought 20% of that company at about $5.8/share back in early '97; well before the IPO this year -- yet he's not adding to his position at these prices.

As far as ORTC goes, I think it has consolidated since the move up above 15. I will probably place GTC orders at 16 1/2 and 17 1/2. With a thinly traded stock like ORTC, the price will drop rapidly if someone sells a block -- but then the price will rise back up again just as fast. Remember last December & January. It will still be a few weeks before the price becomes oversold on the weekly chart so I should have that long before the next move up.

Check out HAIN. Soros got into that at about 7 last year.
