To All...does anyone know the answer to this....I know you cant sell a stock for a tax loss and rebuy it again for 30 days...andstill claim the loss... but what about the other way round...suppose I buy 10,000 of Ftel on monday at say $2.50...then sell 10,000 sh of Ftel that I purchased in feb at $4.50 on the following tuesday and have no trades for 30 days would that qualify me for a tax LOSS on the stock I bought at $4.50????anybody know??? If so that would be a way to offset some taxes...
