Roger, returning to the Ancor home page, and the 1997 press releases is a nightmare, particularly the one involving the German distributor signing a contract calling for the purchase of $2.5 million in product in 1997. I don't have any reason to believe that the full amount of those revenues/purchases ever materialized (although it is possible since we are not given specific information about the orgination of Ancor revenue), and now I wonder whether that was a breach of contract, or whether the contract did not call for firm purchase orders totalling $2.5 million. Remember, that announcement was made mid-afternoon on the very day that the cancellation of the Sequent contract was announced, after the close of trading, I believe. I also remember that Kerry Lee posted, after the announcement of the German distributor contract, that he purchased more Ancor stock.
Then, the Sequent press release, stating that Ancor was going to continue to work with Sequent, and that Sequent was going to pursue a non-switched alternative. Of ocurse, as it turned out, based upon subsequent releases and what has been posted on this board, Brocade's swtich became a critical aspect of the NUMA product, and we don't know if Ancor and Sequent ever drew a breath together in the same conversation thereafter?????
