Bob - since you're interested in new technologies, you might want to check out material on the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers site at ieee.org . There are brief descriptions of what engineers consider to be technologies for the future. Yes, I'm a member of IEEE (including their Society on the Social Implications of Technology), along with other organizations like NORML, the Sierra Club, Mensa, etc. Paul M.
