Bonnie; Re > speculative mania << Remember LETRX , and the huge gains in Russia..it was wild,, well the ensuing sell off has been even more wild..
Lets keep in mind Russia is tough, and also that they have some of the greatest natural resources in the world. If they do get their act together and don't bar foreign investment, the ones who missed that first run up are ready to get in on the second one, they are just sitting and waiting.
The CEs are still selling at a premium, so I'm watching LETRX thing is it has big expense, and a 2% exit fee. I'll track it with TRF and RNE..if the CEs go up then I might get in it when and if it starts up. If they don't move in tandem I'll consider it a false start. Believe it or not the Russians don't hate us as much as most European countries do.
I don't like any part of Africa at all for an investment, the per capita income is far to low, if the standard of living for the working class can't be raised any run up is bubble that will be followed by social and political unrest that can and will often undo the gains made. The rich can get richer up to a point, but if the disparity gets to great they can wind up running for their lives. The disparity of wealth in Africa is worse than in South America. Right now that is also a big problem in Russia, and is becoming one here. Jim |
