Some claim, according to their balance sheet, that Oracle has been buying back shares in the last year. Yet, according to AOL information, shares outstanding have remained relatively stable over the last nine months.

If ORCL is buying back shares, they are uncharacteristically reluctant to publish such information. There has been no media notice of ORCL buying back shares, at least in recent memory.

Actually, there has been little insider trading in ORCL of late, either buy or sell. Not so with Sybase and Informix, where sells are the order of the day.
