I would think that these were not shares that were formerly in the float. If they had been in the float the owners would have sold them prior to cancellation. Am I wrong? Are restricted shares and escrow shares considered part of the float? Fewer shares might impact the loss per share numbers which will now be higher. When there are profits to report, the decrease in the number of shares will be a positive.
