Lets not start rumors about what Peter Troop said

Your quote "the filing had nothing to do with any intended actions, attempted takeovers from others or whatnot." agrees with my conversation with him. The timing of the rumors and the filing were, according to Peter, purely coincidental.

Now since we are all grown ups we know that he isn't going to be the source of any information on a take-over BEFORE it is announced.

Meantime, as a long term investor in Novell I rather enjoy the dilemma of those weighing the buyout rumors against the stock price and what to do. Now Cisco has been added to the list!

So whatcha gonna do, Buy, Sell or Hold?

It was a definite Buy in the low 10's, and now (post earnings) a Hold? I can't see what any new investor just buying into Novell can possibly lose on Novell at these prices (11-11 1/4). For long term investors that have averaged down already, then a Hold?

As for me, I agree with Joe that a new CEO is imperative, to both stock price and direction of the company. Too many decisions are being made and products moved forward without a CEO at the helm.

Meanwhile if a buyout rumor boosts the stock, thats okay with me.
