Sensaura 3D sound API support

CRL is fully committed to making DS3D the standard API for 3D audio.
CRL has added and will continue to add features (e.g. MacroFXTM) to
further improve the immersive experience provided by Sensaura. Where
these require control by the application, extensions to DS3D will be
made in the "official" manner using property sets.

CRL has worked with Microsoft to define the Voice Manager and this is
now implemented in the latest Sensaura drivers. Updates will be
available for those using earlier drivers.

CRL understands the need to provide legacy support for those game
titles (e.g. Jedi Knight from LucasArts) that were written for the
Aureal A3D resource manager. Consequently, we have developed the
Sensaura Audio3DTM DLL that translates Aureal A3D API calls into
equivalent DirectSound3D property set calls.

Use of Sensaura Audio3D is totally transparent to the game - if it
worked with Aureal A3D it will work with Sensaura Audio3D and make
use of the new Voice Manager. The Sensaura Audio3D DLL is provided by
all Sensaura technology licensees and is installed as part of the
standard sound driver set-up.<<
-----End of my cut&paste from yahoo------

Sounds like AURL A3D has problem if true. Nice thing is we now have the few games that work with only A3D now working for SBL. Do you guys see any big push for programers to code for A3D over MS API... and if we have a convertion app do you think they will code for A3D much? SIII was the king of video and lost its base fast? Just asking what you think... thanks.
