Steve -
Unfortunately calling it pitiful doesn't make it so. The fact remains Christmas and Easter were derived from other Pagan holidays. This you admit.
So the question arises if they were willing to adopt Pagan holidays to entice the Pagans to convert, would they have been willing to adopt Pagan beliefs to entice them to convert?
I noticed you didn't mention the 20 or so similarities Jesus' (Pbuh) life has with the life with other gods and goddesses. From Buddha to the Mithra, sun gods to goddess, Jesus (Pbuh) crucifixion and ressurection have already been told in Pagan Beliefs. It was nothing "new" to hear of a savior sent to die for mankind's sins.
How is it that Osiris, for example, has the same details in his life as Jesus (Pbuh)? Why were they both believed to have died for mankind's sins? Why does the list go on from Osiris to hundreds of others? Why did Jesus (Pbuh) never talk about his upcoming death for mankind's sins? Did he think it wasn't important?
Why have you yet to address the contradictions which exist in the Bible? Are you comfortable with believing in the Bible and the Contradictions?
If you don't answer anything in this post, please answer the last 2 questions.
Peace and Blessings of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, Be Upon You.
