Message form the company URT IS ALIVE AND WELL!!!! Pass on:
********************************************************************************
URT is listening to the shareholders. We have many that call us on a regular basis to complain and our goal now is to focus only on positive things. We have a deadline of January 21st to make a sale on the contract we have signed with CDL. What we need from our shareholders is referrals and suggestions to help rather than any negativity. Our total focus is revenue generating activities and we have a deadline for action. Hence the new salespeople and the the new expertise the company is getting as you can see from our corporate up-date. The word of the week is enthusiasm. We want to sell a facility so bad we can taste it. By the way, I have taken over all the shareholder communications work as Jim has retired to other ventures and we are consolidating this job into one that includes all methods of notifying clients and shareholders of our new goals. Thanks again for your support and I look forward to working with you in the future. Here's the update...
Vancouver, BC: The Board of Directors of Urban Resource Technologies Inc. would like to update the shareholders on corporate developments.
CONTAINER WITH FIBR-PLAST SAMPLES EN-ROUTE TO MANILA.
R.J.'s International Resource Development Inc. of Toronto has recently participated in the Housing and Technology '96 Trade Show in Manila. Many contacts were made as a result of this trade show and R.J.'s has requested the material to sonstruct three model homes. Urban Resources has been working with this Philippine group for about eighteen months. R.J.'s had experienced some turbulence within their corporate structure which caused delays in progressing with their plans to sell Fibr-Plast manufacturing facilities. These distractions have now been resolved and R.J.'s are actively renewing all of their marketing activities in the Philippines with respect to Urban Resources.
FIBR-PLAST MATERIAL DELIVERED TO B.C. PARKS FOR TESTING
B.C. Parks has recently approved Fibr-Plast material for use on a trial basis to build outdoor facilities for the handicapped. The test program will be a total of nine(9) outdoor facilities and an undetermined length of boardwalk. The Fibr-Plast material has been delivered to Emery Holdings Ltd. of Victoria, B.C. who is the contractor.
PRELIMINARY JOINT VENTURE DISCUSSIONS WITH EUROPEAN CONGLOMERATE
Urban Resources is now in negotiations with a group of businessmen in London, England with respect to establishing a joint venture to build Fibr-Plast manufacturing facilities in Eastern European communities. A pilot plant has been proposed for England but no agreement has been reached as of yet.
MAINLAND CHINA NOW A POSSIBILITY
Urban Resources has had on-going relations with a group from China who now intends to send enough Fibr-Plast material to construct a model home in China. The model home would be used as a selling tool for this group to sell Fibr-Plast manufacturing facilities. Urban expects to send the material before the end of January 1997.
INDONESIAN DELAYS ALMOST OVER
Due to the delay with the Soemitro/Said group purchasing a Fibr-Plast facility, Urban Resources decided to forge ahead in marketing Fibr-Plast facilities in Indonesia. While we are not discounting the ability of the S/S group to eventually produce an order for a factory, we are taking matters into our own hands and have developed new major connections with respect to Indonesia. To this end, Urban has added Alex Van Hoeken to the Board of Directors of Urban Resources. Mr. Van Hoeken is well versed with Indonesian business and speaks seven languages fluently including Indonesian. He has strong ties with many influential Indonesian business people and has formalized Urban's business in Indonesia by being personally available to conduct Urban's business. Urban has entered into discussions to address the possibilities of building a Fibr-Plast facility next to a solid waste sorting facility that is being built in Surabaya. The solid waste facility is set for completion in 1997 and so far, this group does not have a use for the waste material. Fibr-Plast is a perfect product for them as they are also involved with some humanitarian issues and can see the benefits with our facility in relation to their other businesses. Alex has also been given the mandate to hire sales people to maximize our exposure now that we are firmly entrenched in the business environment. Urban now recognizes that International business takes a great deal of preliminary relationship building before firm sales are realized. While Indonesia has not yet proven to be a market for Urban, we are only now in a position to capitalize on our slow pace of busines development.
