Jon,
Don't get me wrong, I hope you are all wildly successful here. After all, look at what Oakley has done with sunglasses. Just wanted to give you a little insight from an experienced consumer of these products.

A couple more thoughts:

The basic ingredients of these foods are very familiar - corn, fructose syrup, rice, wheat, etc.

The 'special ingredients' are unproven and likely to be inert with the exception of caffiene, and ephedrine (AKA Ma Huang and Guarana)

A convenient list of proven effective performance enhancing substances can be found in the IOC (International Olympic Committee) list of banned substances.

As far as a snack food goes, I think there is some market here, but most people would prefer a Snickers bar (I know I would). Actually, some 'energy bars' are just candy bars marketed as such i.e. Tiger's Milk.

Once again, best of luck to you all

Regards, Dave
