Richard,
It linked that time. That is indeed bad news for the company to have thrown millions down a Russian black hole.
Reminds me of a inventors mansion in New England I visited, forget his name, he owned the land as far as you could see from his mountain top. Teddy Roosevelt gave him a tip to buy Russian war bonds and he did. This was of course just before the communist revolution! Poor fellow was ruined but I guess he had his place free and clear, reverse mortgaged it back to the bank and they let him stay there till he died in the thirties.
The point is the Russkies were a bad investment in 1916 and nothing has changed as far as investment goes since then!
I sold most of my SSRIF out last week, its chart was making me nervous. Lest I look prescient, I bought oil service co. SESI in the high fives, and that is making me nervous now too<VBG>.
On the other hand, my daughter escaped without injury when a large tree fell on her car while driving to work during a thunderstorm here on Friday. Her car was destroyed, she was untouched, and I will take that kind of Providence over monetary fortune anytime, thank God.

Best Regards,

Roebear
