Marshall - Thanks for such a compliment. I've quietly observed your posts and must tell you now how much I respect you for your service and experience. My dad was in the war from beginning to end and talked of his experiences from North Africa to Utah Beach with emotions and a sense of purpose I could never appreciate when I was younger. He even spoke of meeting Patton once in Europe somewhere, but as a teenager some 20 years later I took little interest in his stories and they eventually stopped. Now that I'm old enough to better understand the values his stories were really about he's gone and I deeply miss the opportunity to ask him about them. The two of you share a common link in our history and your references have reminded me of him immensely. My hat is off to you and I hope you are very well. DB
