Well Pat, what can anyone say to something like that other than I wish you were better educated regarding the use of firearms and the people that carry them. I can't help but feel that you are missing the big picture here in the fact that the main purpose of the second admendment was the final check and balance against a tyrranical government. After serving in the military for 6 years and swearing an oath to defend the constitution it is heart breaking indeed to read the words that you just posted. Please keep in mind that we are suppose to be a government of the people for the people and not a people for the government for a government that can no longer trust the people is no longer a government for the people.

Why does a police officer have the right to defend my family and I don't? Are they more capable? Better trained? More intelligent? More aware of the current situation? I think not. When they get involved in a bad situation then how do they know the good guys from the bad guys?

My guess is that you are sheltered from real life via economics and your little world does not apply to the other 90% of the world. Just remember though that we make up the people that you run to for help when things start to get ugly and one of these days we may decide not to help any longer and you will be on your own to deal with the situations that arise.
