I think we'll see a little speculative interest once the drilling is underway. If the first well proves to be a producer, any rise due to speculation should hold some of its gain. Once flow rate and lifetime expectancy for the well are estimated, the value of the well becomes a known for the bottom line as well as indicator of the value of the additional program. There is simply no reason to bid up the price based on the announcement alone.

One nice thing about the program described is that it sounds like a fairly low cost venture and a high probability of success. The well is shallow, there are multiple zones to test, by an experienced operator, in a region where there is excellent infrastructure, and a ready market. The press release makes it sound like there really isn't much of a gamble.

I suppose it's time for someone with some expertise in Kentucky natural gas wells to come forth and tell us what Dynamix can expect out of this program. I'm going to try to contact the operator.
