Jim - Re: "According to AMD, K6-2 on 100BX or Super socket 7,
is faster than a P II 350, and almost as fast as a 400 in graphics,"

According to AMD, "PROFITS ARE ON THEIR WAY".

Do you really believe AMD? Do they have a lot of credibility for you?

I'm sure with optimized - BUT UNAVAILABLE - DircecTX 6 drivers, some few games will outperform an Intel Pentium II/350 when run on a K6-2.

Look at reality - where is the stampede for major OEM's to adopt the K6-2? I think IBM has - I know of no others,

Look down below at AMD's stock price. Does that tell you the world is stampeding to the K6-2 so they can play QUAKE faster than an Intel Pentium II?

Re: "Do you think this can be a problem for INTC ? Especialy Celeron."

Au contraire!

Look at the Celeron and K6-2 pricing! AMD has had to DROP THEIR K6-2 pricing to about $160+/- to match Intel's Celeron-300 MHz price!

The Celeron is AMD's worst nightmare. And it will get worse as the Mendocino is soon to be released - on first silicon.

Look for the K6-2 to drop further in price, widening AMD's losses.
