Many thanks for the link to the Economist editorial. Has there ever occurred any precedent for the overwhelming and wide spread international opinion and pressure on a sovereign nation such as we see Japan faced with today? I seem to recall Israel was faced with something similar but cannot, as much as I have tried, recall what it was. But in any case, I wonder if it makes it harder for Japan to act or easier when and if they do act?
