Hi Joey,
> Do you agree with me that that we need a CEO, period?
Well of course. I also agree that Mom and Apple Pie are good things. I don't think a new CEO will impact the stock much though. With the public perception being what it is, nothing will "kick" this stock in high gear (which is why I continue to say that only idiots look at NOVL as short-term).
The only thing that will make this stock good is the accelerated profitability track that BFrank put the company on. Looking at the company's revenue/profit charts, it is very clear that BFrank did a lot of work getting the expenses down and profit up. Very good work. After the company gets up to 2 billion with high profits, the stock will be in the twenties, and we can cash in. Just gotta hold your breath until then, or find short-term positions in other stocks if that's your kick.
> Are you satisfied with Marengi in the position right now?
I think he'll make a good leader. Maybe not a good CEO but a good president (leader) anyhoo. He's having to learn so give him time. He won't kill the company. Again, nothing is going to make this thing jump AND stick. It will gradually increase.
> Eric, YOU (READ: YOU -> ERIC HALL) are the ONLY one in the trade > press that I see or read that has a kind word about Novell.
That's not true. There have been (and continue to be) a lot of good reviews from technologists. Non-techs are blabbering Micro-Speak (go figger; they are the same ones who said DOS would die and we'd all be running OS/2, or that mainframes would die, or that Apple would die, or that NT would replace UNIX and Sun would die, or yadda yadda yadda).
Techs always ignore the "marketing slime", and lots of geeks are really up on IntranetWare. As usual, the geeks are right, and will prove right, and the analysts will change their tunes. Been through this before.
Just gotta be patient Joey. |
