Integrated Carbonics progress The joint venture between the USA's Integrated Carbonics Corp. and Liumao Graphite Group of China (see IM Feb '98, p.11), formed for development and construction of a value added graphite processing plant, has taken a step further this month. Both companies are pleased with the results of the recently completed feasibility study, undertaken by Shuzhou Research Institute, focusing upon the design, construction and operation of the plant. The next stage has involved bringing in Rescan Engineering Ltd. to further develop the feasibility and the engineering side of the project before construction eventually takes place. Integrated Carbonics has also retained two independent research and processing laboratories in Canada to test and evaluate graphite samples.
