Little Engine, <<recommend to curtail high school students from walking into lunchrooms>> A free state has risks, people are expected to act responsibility. Everything is abused at times, that's not a reason to ban. We have fought a few wars to ensure that we are free, many gave their lives. Abandoning the freedoms won does disservice to their memory. The kids could find out on the internet how to put potassium cyanide in the lunch soup. Should we ban the internet? People fall off roofs, ban roofs? One kid with a car could do as much damage with a car as a gun, they don't need guns to kill.

Bottom line is that the US allows it citizens to be armed so that citizens have the means to protect themselves from the lawless and an abusive government if necessary. Something that shouldn't be so easily discounted. I wish every responsible citizen was armed.
