francis, Joe Gort said to call on Monday. Looks like we finally have the NEWS we've been waiting for right around the corner. From S4T

>>NATIONAL REHAB PROPERTIES (NRPI) $.44. My sources tell me that we should see an announcement by Tuesday or Wednesday of a major mortgage financing which will allow NRPI to complete more than the 100 homes projected for the next 12 months. The second phase of this financing will allow NRPI to grow to 200 homes in 1999 and 400 homes in the year 2000. That will allow the Company to expand into additional cities, which is key to their expansion over the next 2 years. The company providing this financing has been rumored to have traded tremendous volume and has risen several hundred percent recently. Trading just a small portion of the tens of millions of shares that the finance company has been trading will
skyrocket the shares of NRPI which has only 2.2 million shares in the
float and over half of that amount in very friendly hands. Monday and
Tuesday may be the last time you will see NRPI shares under $.50 and we could see new yearly highs on a small increase in volume. Look for a very short term move of 100% and if the volume that is expected comes into the stocks we could see the $1.50-2.00 area. The stocks is trading at a current PE of 4.
In Wednesday's issue of the New Orleans Picayune daily
newspaper there is an article about NRPI and how the Company has gotten approval for selling of the first two of what could be a large number of duplex units that they update as individual units instead of a single family home. That would mean an additional profit of $7,500-10,000 per building. That would nearly double the profit levels we have talked about and open up home ownership to people who can afford $300-325 per month in house payments which is less than what they were paying in rent for the same unit prior to the rehab of the unit. That should be the easiest sale in the world. We look for earnings to grow from $.10 in 1998 to $.20 in 1999 and $.40 in 2000. With a 100% annual growth rate the stock should trade with a PE of at least 20. <<
