When you say that Easter and Christmas are not derived from pagan holidays, what exactly do you mean, if you are saying that your previous post was misunderstood? For example, from a description of the stars in the sky over Jerusalem, the best estimate is that Jesus was born in July. However, his birthday was attached to the pagan Winter Solstice celebrations in order to popularize Christianity with the pagans, and get more converts. Similarly, early Celtic crosses in the British Isles still have circles in the centers, which are thought to represent worship of the sun god.
