Ibexx, Paul E., and all;

Got my Gateway 400 Mhz this week. Very nice machine;

Full tower case
128 Meg SRAM
ZIP drive with 2 blank disks
8 Meg ATI AGP Video
32X Plextor SCSI CD-ROM
Adaptec 2940UW SCSI adapter
10 Gig IBM 7200 hard drive
Soundblaster PCI audio w/Boston Acoustic 3 piece speaker system

All for $2575 before tax&shipping.

I already had a nice 17" monitor, an x2 modem, and a SCSI 600 DPI UMAX scanner.

I added a TEAX 4x/12x CD-R and have been going nuts making audio CD's (compilations and copies for the car). The blank CD's with jewel boxes can be had for around $1.00. Pretty cheap for 74 minutes of perfect quality music. I have found making audio CD's to be one of the neatest relatively new applications for PC's. As some of you already know, I also use my PC to do a lot of imaging processing (i.e. digital photography, scanning, printing). The new PC is a much welcomed improvement over my 3 year old P120. Funny thing is I remember people asking me back then why would anyone need a P120??
