Correct me if I'm wrong but is this still the Vivus board or is this a new soap opera thread about a guy named jack and all his friends taking turns bashing him with a two by four?

Anyway back to some Vivus info.

Before I left on my vacation I was told by a reliable source at Vivus that a few upgrades were coming soon if FDA approval on the new plant was granted and if the script data starts to turn upwards. Well, we are 1/2 way there and if we now see an increase in script data I expect to see those upgrades. Vivus is a joke at present levels and I credit the media's Viagra hype as the major factor. The Viagra honeymoon is now starting to end and hopefully the new MUSE scripts will start to reflect Viagra failures seeking an alternative.

I will be very curious to see what the findings will be on studies of chronic Viagra use as it relates to retinal function. Maybe Eye Dr Mike can find out more about current research and if any preliminary data will be released after lets say 3 months even though this would still be a bit too early to assess the long term effects. If electroretinograms prove that Viagra does indeed cause retinal degeneration then Viagra will be history. Pfizer would pull Viagra in a heart beat rather than deal with the liability of being sued by every man who used Viagra and then had a loss in vision. It will be interesting to see what these studies tell us in the future. Compared to the death issues, the vision issue just may be a time bomb ready to demonstrate the pitfalls of fast track approval of a non life saving drug.
