I agreed with you partially; AMZN is exactly in a category with E*trade. Look at Etrade, what has the stock done lately. See, big brokerage such as DLJ, Discover MSDW and others got in easily. The same hold true that BKS & BPG and others would compete with AMZN on line. The different is Etrade has made money but I doubt AMZN would in two year. I guess I would not exactly categorize AMZN like Etrade after all.
