Mr. Bradley Jones reports

The company has commenced its 1998 exploration program in the Pine
zone of its core property in northern B.C. in the southern part of the
Toodoggone gold district adjacent to Royal Oak's Kemess property.

The 1998 exploration program will involve up to 10,000 feet of diamond
drilling in the Pine zone commencing with the completion of hole
1997-12 which was suspended at a depth of 166m due to the onset of
winter. Drilling will be continued in hole 1997-12 to a minimum of 350m.
The last 46.1m drilled in 1997 showed increasing copper gold values
containing 0.16 per cent copper and 0.47 grams per tonne gold.

An independent geological report was issued in January 1998 based
on drilling results to date and research of other background data by
Standard Metals Exploration of Vancouver (David E. Blann). This report
as well as other publications confirm the Pine zone as one of the
leading copper gold porphyry systems in British Columbia.

The primary objective of the 1998 exploration program is to enhance the
geological resource potential beyond the 200 million tonnes or more
highlighted in the aforementioned geological report averaging between
approximately 0.25 and 0.70 grams/tonne gold (1,600,000 - 4,500,000
oz.) and 0.12 per cent and 0.30 per cent copper (530,000,000 -
1,325,000,000 lbs.).
