Still doing DD on this one. I'm going to continue to post what I discover here on the thread.

What I am hearing is that the companies referred to in this release are American Power Conversion APC -
Woods International and Belkin who currently has 35% of the home market for
surge protectors. The company has various patents pending with 10 -15 claims. They expect to have some of the patents approved shortly. This company continues to put out very positive information on the status of their business. Unfortunately the market stinks to high heaven right now. However this will change soon. I think some who got into this stock expecting immediate gratification exited and cratered the bid in the process. Thats OK let'm leave. IMO this is a solid outfit with product coming into the market place. I have said it before check the trading logs. This company has been dormant for a while during their development phase of the product life cycle it is now time for them to market themselves to the investing public. I still have high expectation for this stock.

Equitech Discusses Marketing Agreements With Major Distributors

AIKEN, S.C., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Equitech International Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: EQTL - news) has entered into discussions with several consumer electronic companies who have expressed interest in manufacturing and marketing the company's patent pending electrical and electronic protection products. Equitech has developed a new line of low-cost, state-of-the-art devices for the consumer and small business markets for surge protection of home telephones, televisions, computers, modems, as well as other electronic office equipment.

Equitech's protection products are designed to eliminate the threat of power surges and voltage spikes caused by lightning which endanger homes and electrical equipment. Equitech's products include PhoneSafe(TM), CableSafe(TM), ModemSafe(TM), and SurgeSafe(TM). In addition to offering superior protection, these products will be competitively priced in the market. Equitech's protection devices will be sold worldwide. In the U.S., Equitech's consumer products will be sold through major chains, primarily home supply retailers and distributors. Internationally, these products are even more important in markets where power distribution is less reliable and surges are more common.

Equitech's President and CEO, Ron Floyd, said, ''We are extremely pleased with the reception our new product line has received and are looking forward to rapid growth and expansion of this product family. We hope to enter into a partnership agreement that will provide us with a distribution and marketing system that will give us a tremendous leap forward.''

Equitech Int'l. Corporation also develops, manufactures, and markets laboratory and industrial products, including a full line of Fiber-optic Spectroscopy products used for analysis and quality control.
