"The net earnings from last year? Would not interest costs be already included in that figure of 5 million? "
That is unclear to me at this time. I asked as well as others I know. The mall owners did have debt, but it wasn't secured by the mall itself, which enabled them to transfer the ownership to TNRG in the form of Debentures.
Tilton has staff over in China, so cost cutting has already begun, and will continue. I expect good results by 1st quarter 1999. The short term profits are very reasonable, and long term the mall as well as the other products should easily get tnrg to $3.00 and more per share.
TNRG is not a momentum play like those in March were touting it to be.
I think anyone looking to day trade TNRG will be dissapointed. Those willing to hold 1 - 3 years should be very happy.
I don't know how many "long" investors there are out there, meaning more than 18 months. I am one (although on SI long usually means 7 to 10 days, or "until I realize it won't be a ten bagger in a few hours")
It's a race, at these prices, for me to get at least 350,000 shares. If I can get more, awesome. I need to get 118,000 more to reach my goal. Unfortuneately some of my monies are tied up in juinor gold stocks on the alberta exchange that are really low in trading levels. It is like pulling teeth just to dump them at any price. Still, Once I get at least 10,000 out of there, I'll be a happy camper.
Hopefully 7 cents holds (or goes lower in the near future) so I can get those shares I need.
We do know that 4 million of the float are held by people who bought between $1.50 and $3.00. I can also account, in my spere of influence, for roughly 2 million more. How many on SI that post and are in for the long haul are unknown to me. The volume last week, was in part some doctor friends buying with their self directed RRSP money. In Canada you can have up to 20% of your RRSP portfolio in foreign investments. I feel they made a wise long term investment. So do they. They bought in based on the medical. I bought in based on the china connection.
If I were any of you , I would make it part of your DD to research investment opportunities in Chungking (chonquing) in the real estate and retail sectors. Did you know that seattle has a city that is a sister to a chonqing since the 1980's? |
