Prosoft Welcomes a New Member to the Team

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 1998--Prosoft I-Net Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ:POSO - news), a leading Internet/intranet skills training company, today announced the appointment of David I. Perl to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Perl fills the role previously held by Jerry Baird before Baird was promoted to chairman and chief executive officer in February of this year.

As COO, Perl is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Prosoft's business plan. He brings with him specific skills in building and growing an organization from the ground up. His 10 years of public company management experience adds depth to the Prosoft management team.

''Selecting David Perl as our new COO is a significant milestone in the development of Prosoft,'' said Jerry Baird, chairman and CEO, Prosoft. ''David's skills in selling products into new markets as well as forming and managing international strategic alliances are key strengths as Prosoft prospers in the evolving Internet marketplace.''

Perl joins Prosoft from Otis Elevator Co., a division of United Technologies Corp. [NYSE:UTX - news], where he served as the first president and general manager of Otis Transit Systems Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Otis Elevator Co. Over the past five years, Perl developed and managed the global transit products business for Otis Transit Systems, enhancing the company's position in its industry through a series of successful new product introductions and strategic alliances. He joined Otis Elevator in 1988, and held positions of increasing responsibility in strategic planning, sales, project management and general management.

''Prosoft has a significant head start in this rapidly growing Internet skills training and certification industry,'' said David Perl, COO, Prosoft. ''I am looking forward to working with Jerry and the rest of the team to better focus operational resources to increase sales, and profits, and ultimately shareholder value. I am confident that the work done to date leaves the company poised for profitable growth.''

Prior to his employment at Otis Elevator Co., Perl worked for Trammell Crow Co., a Dallas-based, global real estate developer. At Trammell Crow Co., Perl held a variety of positions in areas ranging from information systems to human resources.

Perl obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a BS in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
