Re: OEM deals - First thing first. Where are the Banshee announcements from Diamond and Creative Labs? Re: TDFX management - Did anyone else spend the weekend wondering about those meetings that Ballard and Co. had with the Merrill Lynch and others just as the stock was starting to slide? The meetings were supposed to help TDFX's stock, right? Obviously they failed. I wonder if Ballard's management team failed to inspire confidence or if they said something they shouldn't have. One other thought: If TDFX blows out earnings again this quarter they'll damage their credibility on the Street even more. The management team has consistantly said that they expect earnings to be in line with current estimates (15-20% above last quarter). If there is a significant delta, the (remaining) analysts that cover the stock won't be pleased and no one will trust any future "guidence" from the company. Last quarter's big surprise had that effect to a limited extent - if TDFX does it twice in a row, the management team's credibility on the Street will be zilch. Chip
