I've known about MINE since that first thread appeared in early '97 with the nine digit number for a heading.

At the time I thought that if even 10% of what they were saying was true then the insiders would have been begging, borrowing or stealing all the money they could get their hands on to buy up all the outstanding paper before putting in a call to Barrick and every other major they could find in the phone book.

Then they would have gotten those people down there if they had to pay them a hundred grand per company to make the trip and look things over.

Then after the majors all had a look, they could have just sat back and waited for the bidding to start at a billion or so.
