K,

First of all, if S&P kept LSI as a hold this should not be construed as negative but positive. Usually the acquirer of a company is put on watch and/or hit for a certain % by that market...neither happened. Besides I did not see or hear this anywhere, how about sharing the URL so we all can read contents.

Second, I admit to being bullish, and yes at times I hope for things so LSI can up, but big WHUP, that has nothing to do with why I am in LSI. I look at this deal as being accretive, b/c there are real earnings, also LSI is paying cash, which is another big plus. VLSI would have cost a lot more for a lot less. Korean businesses are at a real bargain. They could have continued with the VLSI deal and then LSI would have surely tanked.

Why is $750 mil cheap? Surely you jest. Where have you heard of new a semi fab going for less than a $1 billion and with this acquisition you get a profitable business and name brand products. This is why I am suspect of your motives. Now I know you can't move LSI down based on your postings just as I know my comments have no effect, but it is nice to know who you are talking to and what side of the fence you are are sitting. It helps in determining the validity of your points.

I learned a long time ago that a bull can not convert a bear and vice versa...and so knowing where you truelly stand makes a difference of how I discuss things with you.

Now if you truelly were long in LSI you would have know for sometime that Corrigan isn't going to sell HIS company...but he did say many times in the past that he would look for stategic alliances and/or acquisitions. This is what I believe he did here...cheap capacity, and good products and a synergy in the business with a reduction in SG&A and R&D.

Now my question to you is why complain about LSI when these were the few positions Wilf always claimed? This is why I suspect you are a Bear in Bulls clothing ....and I have suspected this for some time.

You know K, if the deal is as bad as you claim it to be, you should be happy for this deal and the rise in stock so you can sell into it. Then at some later date, if you were correct, buy LSI at a much lower price.
