With all due respect, it appears that you are all missing the forest for the trees. It's not the government. The government only represents a system. And I think we'd all agree that democracy is the best available to date. On the other hand the government is made up of people. And therein lies the problem. Think for a moment; If a law is well written it should eventually create order... no? If you are a lawyer you earn considerably more money from chaos... no? Why do we continue to elect lawyers to write our laws? It's no different than hiring the fox to guard the henhouse. After all the money from the tobbacco thing is a boomer for the lawyers.
