Hi Damon,
I dont have the poll.
I do have the article in front of me. Its from Investors Business Daily June 25, 1998.
Its a short bio of Ayn Rand. (IBD is running a long on- going excellent informative series of short biographies.)
That part I referred to says "A few years ago Reader's Diegest and the Library of Congress polled Americans on the books that had influenced them most. 'Atlas Shrugged' Rand's novel about what happens to the world when creative people go on strike, was second only to the Bible. Publishers have sold more than 20 million copies of her books in the U.S. and are expected to sell 300,000 this year."

Perhaps this is enough reference. If not, contact the Reader's Digest. Since they did the poll with the Library of Congress they ought to be able to point you to something longer and more specific.
Hope this helps.
