Gary Greenfield is a hard working soul and certainly is quite capable of adapting to new opportunities.

Expect he will move forward within his network and exploit those traits.

You are right: ISLI's continued profitability does not match MIFGY's. It it did, the stock price would probably be several times the current price. And it is that very fact, the depressed stock price, that positions MIFGY to be getting this deal (steal ?).

But just look at the assets that ISLI brings to the table. The PVCS business is a true revenue and profit generator. Combine PVCS with the latest SQL acquisition and ISLI's entrenchment looks even better.

ISLI is well positioned in the DataDirect business. If the deal were to go through and DataDirect were combined with some of MIFGY's underlying technology, then an even stronger product line could emerge.

ISLI's services business has shown consistent, strong growth.

And the Y2K business is transitioning into something that will last beyond the year 2000, especially with the extra life given by ongoing events such as the Euro and the prospect of a Dow Jones average over 9,999.

Additional assets that ISLI brings to the table that MIFGY does not have are a successful telemarketing organization and strong OEM/partner channels/revenues for its products.
