Gunther, I understand your frustration. I have been and continue to be a long term holder of FTEL. You must make your own decisions on your investments. No, i have not thrown in the towel and do not expect to. i am not infatuated with this company. I remember a long time ago RB warning many of us never to fall in love with any stock, which remains sage advice. however, i have visited the company and followed it for several years. i like what I have seen and especially like what I am seeing. If the company is managed correctly the stock price will go up. Were we engaging in a minor undertaking to establish a mom and POP operation I would expect more rapid movement and accompanying price jumps. What is in progress is a mammoth undertaking on an international level. You cannot toss up one of these just like a WalMart store. If you do the house will crumble. You usually get just one opportunity to impress people favorably with your business but have continuous opportunities to leave an unfavorable impression. It must be done right the first time. Some worry about us being behind other products. If you look closely at most of the recent releases the other companies talk about what they hope to do, often in several years(esp AT&T). We are actually doing many of those things now. However, even if we are not first out of the gate I am not worried. First, we will never be the only show in town, at least not for long. Second, we are talking about a market of 6 BILLION people, which is more than enough business for all 20 or so contenders. A small piece of the pie is still a lot of $. As with most industries there will be growth and expansion followed by consolidation. It is not unreasonable to assume we may be purchased somewhere down the road, but it will not happen if we do not give a good performance. A good performance will probably raise the price. We have come a long way with FTEL. The company is where it should be. All now depends on (1) can we market our productS (2) can we service our productS ? That is a ? not unique to FTEL. The bottom line is the bottom line from this point on, with occasional periods of speculative acquisitions bumping the price through various levels of resistance. i feel, and yes, hope all will go well. My money is where mymouth is in a very large(for me) way, includung FNET. If I had free cash now I would buy even more. I think this a go and probably one of the few opportunities in my lifetime to hit it big. I asure you I have sen my share of scams and pipedreams. FTEL is neither. |
