I understand that Vivus will report the costs of the rental sales reps as a one time charge. If this is true then something will soon be changing.

These are my recommendations to get the ball rolling in the right direction:

1)Announce a further stock buy back of about $10,000,000.00--these prices will not last long and profitability should return in the next quarter. Vivus still has enough cash to do this.
2)Announce the elimination of the new sales force and announce a joint partnership with a large pharmaceutical. Vivus can leave all the sales efforts and advertising to the likes of Merck or J&J for a percentage of domestic sales. This would be a big plus for everyone involved.
3)Sell the rights to Japan ASAP as it is currently "dead" money.
