All,
Earlier today I received an e-mail from Dale Wettlaufer regarding my post of 21 June (the SI post I'm "replying to"), which referred to his article on P/E applicability to share value. I've reflected over his e-mail and my post...
In the original post, I was accusative that the article was based upon less than proper motives related to a holding of the Motley Fool portfolio. Upon due consideration, I must say that the Motley Fool has always represented, in my experience, a professional group of people, in which I had no reasonable basis to question their motive. In other words, I was wrong; I leaped to a conclusion that was both unnecessary and unwarranted.
I affronted the integrity of Mr. Wettlaufer publicly, and he deserves a public retraction and apology. I apologize to Mr. Wettlaufer, the Motley Fool and Mr. Gardner.
Best Regards, Jim
P.S. Mr. Wettlaufer: thank you for bringing this transgression to my attention. |
