Daniel-Thanks for the response. I need to sit down and look at some of my reference books as well. I didn't quite follow your thinking on the stock needing to make a move within 2/3 of the formation. That's a nuance I have missed somewhere.

Let me suggest something else with regard to the volume side of the equation. Declining volume on a stock with a short term down trend could indicate selling is drying up and the buyers haven't appeared yet.

Time will tell....
