Ben, I don't follow the disk media business, but I can see from the charts why someone would be interested in HMTT and KMAG.

Both companies have fortress balance sheets and positive cash flow from operations, which is enough to scare me away from shorting the stocks. Maybe KMAG's cash flow can't persist, since they had negative gross margins last quarter, which is certainly a lousy way to run a business. On the other hand, KMAG is selling at half of book price.

I would suggest IOM, with its strongly negative cashflow and weak balance sheet, as a more attractive shorting alternative in this sector.
