Bill, you are in the right place if you want to learn about how to do research on shorting stocks.

If you are new to doing research, you probably wouldn't want to rush into a lot of short selling.

As for resources for researching stocks, I would suggest two primary things to start with, when looking at a specific stock:

* Yahoo at quote.yahoo.com (the links on this page are quite useful, especially 'news', 'profile', 'research', and 'insider')

* The SEC filings at sec.gov
