Mon 29 Jun 98 News Release
Mr. Raymond Hrkac reports
The 1998 program for Doyle Lake is about to begin. The Doyle Lake project,
which includes the claims known as LA 1-25, is on the Slave Craton in the
Northwest Territories, 280km northeast of Yellowknife.
The company plans to drill two of the lake targets which are accessible
from shore. Depending on logistics and other variables, a number of drill
targets will also be reviewed for inclusion in either the early drilling
program or for drilling in late summer or fall. Originally a number of the
lake targets were to have been drilled through the ice, but because of poor
ice conditions caused by unseasonably high temperatures this spring, crews
were unable to proceed with the planned ice-based drilling; several of
these lake targets are too far from shore for summer drilling.
In addition to drilling, the program will include indicator mineral
sampling and ground checks of selected target areas.
These properties are subject to an agreement between Gerle Gold and
Monopros Limited. Gerle is the operator and project manager at Doyle Lake,
working in conjunction with and under the direction of Monopros, which
earned its 60 per cent interest in the property in 1997. The Doyle Lake
project is financed by Monopros.
