lets change the topic of conversation from e. to Amati. There are 2 peaces of news that I saw today that are relevant to amati:
1)BBN 3:39 Sweden's Telia to Offer Commercial Broadband Services
....
The equipment will be delivered by Ericsson of Sweden and Alcatel Alsthom SA of France.
....
2)01:24pm EST 2-Dec-96 Insider's Research Wire (STACEY GRIFFIN 800-243-2324) .... INSIDER WATCH...BUYING - AMTX
....
trading at $16.50,
...
one insider is buying on the weakness. Director Aamer Latif purchased 25,000 shares at $17.75 in his first open-market acquisition since becoming a filer in '89.
....
This situation fits our early criteria of significance and is being published as a "heads up" at this time.
....

Comments
1)I have seen some posts on this about mot and Ericsson and also about tests of amati modems in Sweden. What does that mean? I thought that Alcatel would make their own chips. Does that mean that mot and alcatel are working together?
2)the earlier posts about insiders selling some shares are also true
