Christine, Do you really think that males have a feminine side or is it just part of wide-ranging attitudes which are not really bound to some role model concept of masculinity/feminity. To me the two overlap so much that there is a rather narrow way of being that can be called uniquely female or male.

Females are aggressive, brutal, cruel, thieving, imaginative, caring, creative, analytical, competitive, political, kind and intelligent, just like males are. Depending more on the individual than on their gender. Measure those things or whatever [other than biological traits like having babies and getting feelings like breast feeding causes] and I don't think the gender of the person could be predicted other than on a probably basis. A murderer is probably a male.

So to be "in touch with a feminine side", always leaves me feeling a bit perplexed. Just WHAT is the feminine side?

But yes, it is very easy to ignore feelings and deal just with the nice safe clean and easy rational side of life. But to see a rational person who prides themselves on their rationality shout "I AM NOT ANGRY!!'
gives the lie to their rationality. And the mere act of denying feelings can even exacerbate them. They can then come racing out from the cauldron with little notice and cause quite a degree of surprise to those around and the individual as well.
